| Hey ya'll. I promised in the previous topic to answer any questions about the military. Obviously, can't give out classified info like where the Marines are gonna attack tomorrow, but, if you have any questions, let me know.
-Tiacha, your Fed Marine.

| Here's probably a stupid question (I could probably search for it somewhere), but you're also head of DoE so here goes:
Is there a method for getting strength to increase faster or is it all the same for everyone?
Also, I notice some people who are lower level than me, have higher skill in the same field as me work-wise. How do I maximize?

Well, you get to travel around and see the world. Plus, you get free weapons from the government so you don't need to pay to level up your military rank. Once your rank goes up, you hit harder for more damage. Its pretty sweet. Plus, if you're an officer, you can have opportunities to plan battles and start resistance wars which leads to new medals and more gold. Its pretty sweet.

Also, I notice some people who are lower level than me, have higher skill in the same field as me work-wise. How do I maximize? There's no method to increase your str faster. Everyone gets .04 each day. A while ago, the amount you gained was based on a trivia system. The more questions you got right, the more str you got. When the admins banished this system, they thought about putting in a new system to increase str. Don't know if they'll ever put in a new system, though. They probably have a higher skill level you in a field cause they choose to focus on just one field (be it land, manuf, or construction.) Also, they might be a lower level than you because they've fought in wars less. You get 2xp for every battle you've fought in. So they might be a higher skill level than you job wise cause they started the game before you and only just worked, rather than fought in battles. Thus, you have more xp. I hope I answered your question alright.

| Ahh, yeah I didn't think about that. Good point.
Just so we finish up the subject, working at a Q1 or Q5 company doesn't affect the skill increase any faster either does it? TY

Just remember, at Q5 companies, you usually get paid more, but you need to buy more gifts to keep up your wellness. Q1 companies pay less, but you pay less in gifts. (Unless you have a really dumb GM who pays you Q1 wages...they'll likely go out of business soon anyway.) So, consider that when making your employment decision. In my dealings, its best to work for a Q2 or Q3 company cause its doable to keep up your wellness and you get paid more.

Also I got offered a place in demolitions, should I take it Mrs. Tiacha? Army was not included in this month's Congressional budget. This was because the leadership before now was not active and in fact, rather sketch. The army is included in next month's budget which is supposed to go into effect by June 15th. So, you can wait it out, or, I know the Mobile Infantry and the Airborne are getting a lot of funds and deployment opportunities. You might want to look into them. As for demolitions, I'm not sure if I've ever heard of them. Are they a special platoon in the army?

| OK, question time again, even if it has already been answered.
I have a friend who wants some excitement and Exp and I mentioned the military. I don't want to refer her off to some general who will get back to her on Day 600. My own NG experience is a little off-putting here (never received a single order since re-assignment after Training (I'm talking over 18 days now).
Can I refer my friend to one of us Feds to smooth her path to fame and glory?

| Is she only interested in NG, because I don't really think there is too much excitement there often, at least, that's what I hear.
If she is open to it and was high enough strength and such, I would suggest the MI, because I find it to be extremely rewarding and if she wants battles a lot and a good community of talkative people, it is by far better than NG. But that's probably all prejudiced because I am in MI and am supposed to support it. Hope that helps!

| After 4 weeks without further orders or notification, I wrote to General dczip yesterday, informing him of my resignation from the NG and giving him courtesy warning that I'll be bringing up the question of the NG shambles in Congress. What is the point of reforming the military if the NG (specifically the HG) is left out? | |
