PostSubject: Tuesday Day595 Article DRAFT   Tuesday Day595 Article DRAFT EmptySun Jul 05, 2009 5:22 pm

As agreed, I will post the first couple of newsletters here for review and party member approval/suggestion so that everyone is comfortable with what is being made public, and how my vision for our newsletter can pan out.
My comments not to being published are in yellow
Here it is:

-----
Hi and thank you for picking up the New and Improved ‘Fed Weekly’, the one-stop information and entertainment center for those Federalist home and abroad, whether you are a current member or one yet to join!

Party News

Over the past week we have seen a lot of internal changes and a flurry of inspired programs being put to use eNationwide. Our former Party President’s, Bill Brasky and Gaius Julius decided to take a sabbatical from their roles in Congress to participate in a military mission with the Airborne division abroad. While this information has been kept pretty secret, they have returned from their short trip and have served our country proudly. In doing so, Fingerguns became our new Party President and with a few key appointments, ensured this party could continue moving forward with its’ initiatives.

Wingfield has been appointed Vice-Party President, while TheCrimsonPatriot will be heading up a new Media and Marketing Division, and I, Feeney Madden; have taken over the PR Directors Role.

NEW Website

We are proud to announce and Launch our new digital face, our website. This new media keeps you up to date with organizational structure, what are members are doing, and a Live! Gold Market screen.

//Need your voting records by Monday please

Party Inspired Programs

In conjunction with the internal changes we have seen a variety of Federalist Party-Inspired programs come to fruition, and are currently being implemented or are about to be implemented within the eUS.

The Better Business Bureau, an Organization inspired by Federalist Fingerguns and being led by Federalist Citizenslave, completed with a non-partisan team; is being established to reward those excellent business owners by creating a quality standard for all businesses’ to aspire to.
For more information see this article: http://tinyurl.com/bbbAnnc

The Charity ‘Habitat for Humanities’ is another system inspired by a Federalist, Augustis, and is designed to offer a complete wellness package for those new players that would otherwise struggle, and incorporates food, gifts and housing. The Charity right now is in its formation stages and recently obtained the donations from kind citizens to get the ball moving. 3 Businesses’ have been created and named after the top donators.
This initiative only compliments the great work carried out by the Meals on Wheels program and together, both schemes can reach a multitude of Americans.
For more information see this article: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/new-charity--846536/1/20
You can donate to the Charity here: http://www.erepublik.com/en/organization/1603974

//Also need to find out more recently inspired programs

eUS Current Affairs

Sunday saw the July 2009 Presidential Elections in a hotly contested election with a staggering 9 candidates. However, it only ever really came down to two, the Federalist Party endorsed candidate Emerick (Lib) and Harrison Richardson (USWP). Emerick took an early lead right when the polls opened as many eCitizens were up past midnight to make sure they cast their vote, but by midday Richardson had taken the lead and led comfortably by 130 votes.
In the end Richardson was victorious with 47% of the public votes and was sworn in as the New President of the United States immediately.
//Will naturally update by Tuesday

The State Department this past week also underwent a member cull and reinvention as it updated the Ambassadorships to our foreign Embassies. Three Federalist Party members received Ambassador Status and will represent the eUSA on foreign diplomatic relations, namely Gaius Julius for Switzerland, Captain Panther in Denmark and Feeney Madden in the eUK.

Just for LoL’s

For so many, or so few, the IRC channels and Forums play host to a whole range of debate, from political to economical and down-right comical. In our New section, Just for LoL’s we aim to bring you the funnier moments, and allow you to decide whether it is fact, or fiction Razz

eUS Forums Thread of the Week:

http://eusforum.com/index.php/topic,56.0.html
“UFO’s – A Congressional Investigation” – here at the Just for LoL’s desk, we had to bring to attention the comical insides and tax payers dollars that are being used to track, investigate and identify these UFO’s that several eCitizens are claiming they have seen. Some claim that on their police-scanners they could hear E.T. asking for a ‘collect call’ back home, Santa calling Verizon Wireless for a location update as they hit a Dead Zone, and Obi Wan Kenobi trying to translate a message from Princess Leah over a paternity test and now having to pay back child support. However, we have a suggestion for our investigation team, start at Congress, because it’s pretty clear; some of their proposals are totally out of this world!!

In Other News:

Reports from North Korea have leaked to the global press offices that there is a fear of McDonalds! Ronald McDonald has become public enemy number 1 after many of the citizens finally got to watch the previously banned show, IT, and they fear that if they Super Size their meal, Ronald McDonald will come screaming out of the bathrooms and take them away!
Naturally, North Korea’s defense minister has tried to calm speculation of this terror by stating, “Customers have nothing to fear over Super Sizing their meal, it is if they order the Big N Tasty!”

I'm liking it a lot man! It flows well and is split up enough that it doesn't feel tl;dr.

Also, I never knew about that other website, so I learned something!

The whole first section covers things that have already been covered almost word for word.

EDIT: Also, can we work on the graphics for the website before we advertise it? I would like the image among all party material to be cohesive.

I would tend to agree with FG on the pretty factor. The color scheme should at least be similar, if only for aesthetic appeal.

Nothing says organized like matching colors!!!!!!!!!!!! lol!

Well, I would be fine with white. It makes for easier reading. I just mean the overall images like the logo style and colors.

Also, I would love for anyone interest to apply to be in his cabinet in some capacity.

Sounds like we endorsed both candidates. haha

Other than that bit, I think it looks pretty good. I would put in like a hundred more links to the Fed Forum. This is our HQ for basically everything.
